LNPP-2: more than 50% of the base plate of power unit No. 2 turbine building has been concreted

At present the two remaining “pours” – Nos. 5 and 6 in which 3 thousand cubic meters of concrete are to be laid are being prepared for concreting. The works are carried out by specialists from TITAN-2 CONCERN CJSC.
According to the Directorate of Leningrad NPP-2 under construction data (a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC) version, high outside temperatures (up to +32 Celsius degrees) facilitate concrete curing and “the builders try to extract all the good out of this situation for concreting”.
In all at Leningrad NPP-2 construction site works are being carried out at power units Nos. 1 and № 2 in which more than 1500 people, 50 vehicles and 89 special mechanisms are engaged.
In July the students’ building team “Sosnovy Bor” consisting of 34 people set to work at LNPP-2 construction site. The students are going to work at LNPP-2 construction up to the end of August, 2010.
Construction of Leningrad NPP-2 is included into the long range program of Rosatom State Corporation activity.
The construction management company is Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC.
General contractor and designer of the project is SPbAEP OJSC, an engineering company (a part of integrated Atomenergoprom OJSC).
On June 11, 2008 Rostekhnadzor issued a license (No. ГН-02-101-1860) for construction of power unit No. 1 of Leningrad NPP-2 (license period – up to 31.03.2018).
On July 15, 2009 Rostekhnadzor issued a license (No. ГН-02-101-2148) for construction of power unit No. 2 of Leningrad NPP-2 (license period – up to 14.07.2019).
In April of 2010 Rostekhnadzor issued licenses (Nos. ГН-01-101- 2344 and ГН-01-101-2345) for construction of power units Nos. 3 and 4 of Leningrad NPP-2.
At present at Leningrad NPP-2 site six main contractor organizations are working: Titan-2 Concern CJSC, SUS OJSC, Metrostroy OJSC, Trust Gidromontazh OJSC, EFESk CJSC.andSK Atomspetsstroy JSC.
