Declaration signed between SOCAR and BOTAŞ

SOCAR and BOTAŞ held talks on the construction of a natural gas pipeline between Turkey and Azerbaijan within the framework of the visit of Turkish delegation headed by Mr. Taner Yildiz, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey to Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic.

During the negotiations, the parties agreed that the two companies shall jointly implement the construction of an interconnector pipeline from the Republic of Turkey to the Turkish/Azerbaijani border on Nakhichevan, for SOCAR investment projects in Nakhichevan. At the end of the meeting, a Declaration of Intent was signed between SOCAR President Mr. R. Abdullayev and General Manager of BOTAŞ Mr. F. Shenel.
