Rosatom representatives presented more than 100 innovative projects at the “Seliger 2010”

160 young specialists from different branch enterprises and scientific institutions integrated into Rosatom State Corporation (TVEL Fuel Company, Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC, Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – the All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics, Scientific Research Institute of Nuclear Reactors, etc.), as well as students and postgraduates of the National Research Nuclear University of MEPhI took part in the session.
At the forum the young nuclear scientists presented more than 100 innovative projects and developments in the priority area of the country development (unclear power industry, nuclear medicine, etc.). In particular, Novovoronezh NPP-2 engineer Tatyana Ognerubova presented the project for enhancement of Rosatom State Corporation operating efficiency. Alexander Muraev and Olga Aleshina from Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy jointly with Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – the All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics (Sarov) presented the project for establishment of a medical centre for maxillo-facial surgery, implantology and stomatology rendering services to patients with congenital and acquired defects and deformations.
A special education program for development of the long-term action program and application of the participants’ innovative projects for Rosatom strategic aims was organized for representatives of the nuclear power industry. According to the work results an examination sitting in the project presentation format was held. Reports of Kiril Nikel (NIKIET OJSC) on “Medical Means for Neutron Capture Therapy for Cancer Treatment” Vasily Tinin (Siberian Integrated Chemical Plant OJSC) on “Recrystallization technology for uranium purification” were recognized as the best. The winners were awarded notebooks. According to the session results a number of projects will get consultative and administrative support on the part of the State Corporation.
Within the framework of the session the young nuclear scientists got a chance to converse with heads of the leading companies of the branch. They were addressed by General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC Sergey Obozov, Vice-President of TVEL Fuel Company Vasily Konstantinov. The following specialists conducted their lectures for the forum participants: Director of Water Technologies of Atomenergoprom LLC Pavel Gavrilin („Commercialization of Rosatom Innovative Technologies“), Chief Designer of space nuclear installations of NIKIET OJSC Vladimir Smetannikov („Small Nuclear Installations“), Director of the Institute of Laser Physical Research at Russian Federal Nuclear Centre – the All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics Sergey Garanin („Lasers“), Adviser of General Director of IPPE after A.I. Leypunsky Vladimir Kagramanyan („New Process Platform of Rosatom“).
Among other results of the session were the second place in the “Seliger” football championship and marriage of Andrey Albutov and Olga Savinova, representatives of SNIIP OJSC. Thus, the young nuclear scientists followed the good tradition of the forum (to wed in the camp territory).
In 2010 the innovative Forum “Seliger-2010” includes seven issue-related sessions. The Forum was organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
