Turboatom is also to participate in the construction of Rostov NPP power unit No.4.
As recalled by Director of Atomenergoproekt Nizhny Novgorod Engineering company (Russia) Valery Limarenko, at the end of June, 2010 in Kiev there was signed a protocol on design of Rostov NPP power unit No.4 with capacity of 100 mW on the basis of power installation No.392. During the meeting in Krakov it was desided Turboatom will submit its business proposal to the customer of the power unit No.4 construction.
According to Limarenko, the agreement, arranged with Turboatom on 20 July, may be called a “ today sensation” for specialists. The construction of Rostov NPP was started in 1997, in 1990 it was shut down and in 1998 – resumed. Three NPP power units operate turbines produced by Turboatom with unit capacity of 1 million kWh. At present, Rostov NPP operates power units Nos. 1 and 2.
The contract under which Turboatom shall implement the reconstruction of the previously installed turbine of Rostov NPP power unit No.3 is ready for subscription. Furthermore, there was signed a contract on supplies of additional equipment, necessary for the commissioning of the plant power unit No.3. 10 NPP power units are being constructed in Russia.
