Results for activities of JSC Intergas Central Asia for the first half of 2010

During January-June of the current year, the Company paid taxes and other mandatory payments to the state budget of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the total amount of 6 241 million KZT.

In the first half of 2010 the total volume of gas transmitted through the pipelines of JSC Intergas Central Asia amounted to 51.683 billion m3, including the volume of domestic transportation of 4.647 billion m3, international gas transit of 41.234 billion m3, and export gas transportation of 5.801 billion m3. In comparison with the same period of 2009 the total volume reached 111% of transmission. The plan for 2010 maintains the same transmission volume of 94 billion m3 as for 2009.
In the first half of 2010, the result for capital expenditure of Intergas Central Asia financed from internally generated funds totaled to KZT 9 654.9 million (mln), including KZT 8 525.7 mln investments in production. In comparison with the same period of 2009, the increase was KZT 4 070.6 mln, or 72%. In 2010, the aggregate capital expenditure of Intergas Central Asia, JSC, financed from internally generated funds is expected to reach KZT 40 112.3 million.
Intergas Central Asia invariably increases investment in repair and modernization of main gas pipelines and intends to build up the scope of repairs in future as well. This will enable to increase the level of reliability of the entire gas transportation network of Kazakhstan. The basic principles of ICA operations will remain to be the use of new technologies while performance of reconstruction and operation of the facilities of the gas transmission system, introduction of modern devices, equipment and infrastructure that shall ensure maximum level of safety, reliability, efficiency and improved technologies.
Intergas Central Asia was established in June 1997 to directly operate and manage under the term of concession agreement the main gas transmission infrastructure in Kazakhstan. Intergas Central Asia is a subsidiary of KazTransGas, JSC group of companies (controlled by the national company, KazMunayGas, JSC). Intergas Central Asia manages the major gas transportation network in the Republic of Kazakhstan with the total length in excess of 11,000 km and annual throughput capacity up to 190 bcm.
