Balakovo NPP: power unit No. 3 is under scheduled repair

The power unit shutdown was performed in the routine mode according to the operational process regulations requirements. No deviations from normal operation limits and conditions have been found.
Routine maintenance and repair works, refueling and startup of the power units are to be over by the midnight of September 14, 2010.
At present power units Nos. 1, 2 and 4of Balakovo operate in tje predetermined conditions with aggregate load of 3000 mW.
The radiation background at the power plant and in the adjacent territory did not change and corresponds to the natural environmental background.
