"Turboatom" dispatched clusters of turbine updating for Leningradskaya NPP

At NPP is implemented of continuing terms of commissioning of acting power units. According to the “Program on increasing of generation of electrical energy” do works on turbines updating K-500-65/3000 with unit capacity 500 MW with change of blades of the fourth and the fifth stage of low pressure.
According to the Contract OJSC “Turboatom” will make and dispatch 21 packages of clusters of steam turbines updating for Kurskaya, Smolenskaya, Leningradskaya NPP. Execution of the Contract is counted for 5 years. The customer of the project of reconstruction is OJSC “Concern Rosenergoatom” (Russia). In number of new technical decisions in reconstruction K-500-65/3000 “Turboatom” offered to change blades with length 852 mm to economic, secure and erosion-resistant blades with length 1030 mm. Not less important that reconstruction does not need change of rotors and basic part of the turbine.
In result of updating the capacity of turbine will increase to 16 MW and of the power unit – to 32 MW, also increased COE and life duration of the assemblies, which is equivalent to construction of new unit. It is planned that summary increase of capacity of all turbines will be 328 MW, that is equivalent to 2, 4 Milliards kW hour of every day extra generation of electrical energy.
For this moment 11 turbines have already been updated and commissioned. In total was dispatched to the customer 15 packages of the equipment. In the current year have been implemented works on changing equipment at turbine set -1 (TG-1)  of Kurskaya NPP, at TG-2 of Leningradskaya NPP, in August will be works at TG-1 of Smolenskaya NPP and in September at TG-3 of Leningradskaya NPP.
Leningradskaya NPP is situated in 80 km more West in Saint Petersburg is South coast of Finland gulf of Baltic Sea. The station includes 4 power units with electrical capacity 1000 MW each. At NPP since 1970 are installed 8 turbines with nominal capacity 500 MW of OJSC “Turboatom” production.
Kurskaya NPP is situated in 40 km to the West of the town Kursk, in the coast of river Seim. In number of two operating turns of power plant are commissioned 4 power units РБМК-1000, with unit capacity 1000 MW. At four power units of Kurskaya NPP beginning from 1974 are installed 8 turbines of OJSC “Turboatom” production, with capacity 500 MW each.
Smolenskaya NPP is situated in the South of Smolenskaya region. In industrial commissioning on the station are situated three power units with graphite-uranium canal reactors РБМК-1000 of the second and the third generation. Since 1978 “Turboatom” installed at NPP 6 turbines with capacity 500 MW each.
