Kalinin NPP: over 1.5 bln kWh of electric power were generated in July

Upon the whole, for the seven months of the current year Kalinin NPP has generated 13.2 bln kWh of electric power (101.7 %). In January-July 12.559 bln kWh of electric power were transmitted to the energy system (102.1% of the plan).
At present power units Nos. 1 and 3 of Kalinin NPP are in operation. At power unit No. 2 is the 25-th day of scheduled midlife repair.
The radiation background on KNPP industrial site and the adjacent territory corresponds to the natural environmental values.
Kalinin NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is situated in the north of Tver region in Udomlya district. Kalinin nuclear power plant comprises three operating power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) of 1,000 mW capacity each. Power unit No. 4 is under construction now and is to start up in 2011.
