Smolensk NPP: plan for power generation in July has been fulfilled by 130.5%

In July Smolensk NPP power units generated 1.702 bln kWh of electric power that exceed the target figure by 398 mln kWh. Upon the whole since the beginning of 2010 electric power generation has amounted to 13.165 bln kWh.

At present Smolensk NPP operates three power units. Their aggregate capacity is 2,435 megawatt. Nodeviationinequipmentoperationhave been detected. Power unit No. 2 operates on 495 megawatt because of scheduled repair at the fourth turbine generator.
The radiation background on Smolensk NPP industrial site and the adjacent territory did not change and corresponds to the natural environmental values.
Smolensk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Every year SNPP contributes to the country electric power system at the average about 20 bln kilowatt-hours of electric power equal to almost 13% of power generated in Rosenergoatom Concern and to more than 80% of that generated by the power plants of Smolensk region.
