"Turboatom" represented the project of TPP turbine upgrading

Participants of presentation there were heads and experts of Ukrainian power generating company JSC "Zapadenergo", Dobrotvorskoy, Burshtinskoy and Ladizhinskoy TPP also representatives of design and erection organizations.
Issue of upgrading of TPP is actual for Ukraine. Basis of thermal power of country consists of units with capacity 200 and 300 МW, commissioned in 60-70 years. Equipment of such TPP worked-out its service life and it has low engineering-and-economical performance. During presentation "Turboatom" offered solution of such issue – project of upgrading of turbines together with reconstruction of air-gas channel of low pressure cylinder. Among new technical solutions – installation of upgraded blades with highly efficient profiles, welded-forged low pressure rotors made of flexible alloyed steel, non stress corrosion also last stage of low pressure which could be operated under wide range of modes.
After upgrading increase of capacity of units will consist from 10 to 35 МW, will increase efficiency and service life of turbines, increase its reliability and economy, specific fuel consumption will be reduced on 5 %. Enterprise has huge experience in upgrading of turbines on domestic and foreign TPP and NPP with capacity from 160 МW to 1 mln. kW.
During discussion decisions regarding development during current year technical and economical basis of upgrading of turbines К-160 at unit No 8 Dobrotvorskoy TPP, К- 200 at unit No 5 Burshtinskoy TPP, К-300 at unit No № 4 Ladizhinskoy TPP. At the begging of 2011 customer will invite tenders. "Turboatom" in its turn will prepare proper technical and commercial offers. It is supposed that terms of equipment supply for every plant will be one year.
Equivalent projects of reconstruction are implementing not only at Ukrainian TPP but also on TPP of Russia and Kazakhstan.
JSC "Zapadenergo" includes three thermal power plants – Ladizhinskaya, Dobrotvorskaya and Burshtinskaya (total capacity - 4700 МW). On Ladizhinskoy TPP there are 6 turbines with rated power 300 МW, manufactured by OJSC "Turboatom", on Dobrotvorskoy TPP installed 2 turbines with capacity  160 МW each manufactured by OJSC "Turboatom". On Burshtinskoy TPP installed 12 turbines with unit capacity 200 МW manufactured by LMZ (Russia).
