Company «Windlife Energy» is going to connect wind farm in Murmansk region to grids of IDGC of North-West

A working meeting of the management of IDGC of North-West, JSC with the representatives of companies "Windlife Energy" (Netherlands), «Avantis Europe GmbH» and «Switchcraft» took place in Saint-Petersburg on the issue of technological connection of the wind farm in the North of Murmansk region to electric grids of “Kolenergo” branch of IDGC of North-West. Director on technologies development of dispatch control of branch of JSC “SO UES” – “Interregional Dispatching Office of North-West” Sergey Papafanasopulo attended the meeting.
Hollanders plan to start the wind installations in May of 2012. Putting of facility into service is planned to be made by two start-up complexes each having 100 mW. The total capacity of the wind farm will amount to 200 mW. The location is chosen in 80 to the East from Murmansk.
In the negotiations course the parties discussed technical parameters, an issue of the facilities’ balance sheet attribution, requirements to accounting and quality of power generated. Director of company Avantis Detlef Lange told about turbines, principles of their work and represented a preliminary scheme of the wind farm’s infrastructure. Company "Windlife Energy" (Netherlands) plans to file an application for technological connection of a would-be wind farm in Murmansk region to electric grids of IDGC of North-West.
