The fourth stage of the Russian Drift Series was held in Nizhny Novgorod at the new racetrack Nring (Nizhegorodskoye Kol'tso) of the Auto Sports Complex. The new loop racetrack is located 22 km away from Nizhny Novgorod. Pilots from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan and Samara participated in the Russian Drift Series competitions.
The more smoke there is, the steeper the angle is and the greater the duration of the car skidding is, the higher its speed is, so much the better: such are the rules of the drift competition. Each of the participants turned into smoke about 12 pairs of tires on this hot day. The asphalt coverage of the racetrack warmed up to 70 degrees Celsius.
Given the high temperature of asphalt pavement (and the temperature at the points of contact rockets during the drift), not all tires could withstand the test of heat-and-run.
The tires of OAO Nizhnekamskshina demonstrated their best performance characteristics. They had a steady track adhesion in case of the heated, as well as overheated rubber, which allowed Yanina Alekseeva accelerating at the moment of the drifts and performing worthily.
By the results of the competitions the first female drifter joined the top six among 33 participants, beating many famous grand masters.
After completion of the event many participants expressed a desire to experience the KAMA-EURO 129 tires with their cars.
