Technical meeting was held between JSC FGC UES management and the Government of Nizhniy Novgorod region of Russia regarding reliable power supply to customers

At the meeting they discussed various aspects of bilateral cooperation as well as issues related to realization of the company investment program in the region.
JSC FGC UES investments in development of electric grid facilities of Nizhniy Novgorod region till 2014 will amount to RUR 26.3 billion. Currently in the region construction of a section of double-circuit power line 220 kV Nizhegorodskaya – Borskaya with one circuit run into substation 220 kV Nagornaya was completed within the framework of the company investment program. The following works were completed at the substation: 200 MVA autotransformer was put into operation; 10 kV, 11 kV and 220 kV cells were assembled; line regulating transformer was installed; busbar bridge 110 kV with cross-linked polyethylene cable was assembled; advanced microprocessor-based units of protection relay and automatic equipment. At the enhanced substation 500 kV Nizhegorodskaya assembly of the second autotransformer bank with capacity of 501 MVA was completed, and start-up and commissioning is in progress.
The investment program also envisages construction of the second circuit power line 500 kV Kostromskaya GRES – Nizhegorodskaya of 286 km. Currently the preparation for construction and assembly work is in progress. The construction project planned to be completed and power line to be put in operation in 2013. In addition, in 2011 JSC FGC UES plans to start complex upgrade of 220 kV substation Zarechnaya – key power supply center in Zarechnaya district and enhance transformer capacity and change schemes of outdoor switchgears 110 kV and 220 kV.
Realization of JSC FGC UES investment program in Nizhniy Novgorod region will enhance reliability of regional power supply and also create conditions or connecting new customers.
