The construction is carried out within the investment program of JSC FGC UES and the Federal target subprogram “Development of the city of Vladivostok as the center of international cooperation in Asian-Pacific region”. The new substation with transformer capacity of 126 MVA is planned to be put into operation in June 2011. Total amount of investments into construction of electric power project will exceed RUR 2 billion.
Substation 220 kV Zeleniy Ugol will provide for power supply for two residential districts in Vladivostok currently under construction – “Zeleniy Ugol” and “Ussuriysky” – with total population exceeding 30 thousand people. In addition the substation will be part of power supply facilities for the Summit of the countries of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in 2012.
Works are currently underway to construct the site for future substation. On the territory over 2.9 hectares in Pervorechensky district of Vladivostok extraction of timber, leveling and land filling is carried out. Construction project of substation 220 kV Zeleniy Ugol involves installation of two autotransformers with capacity of 63 MVA each, construction of outdoor switchgears of 110 kV and 220 kV, common control center, indoor switchgear 10 kV. The substation will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment satisfying all the requirements for reliable and safe operation.
In 2010 in Primorskiy Territory JSC FGC UES put into operation substation 220 kV Airport, started construction of substations 220 kV Russkiy and Pathrokl, overhead transmission line 220 kV Artemovskaya TPP – Zeleniy Ugol in order to supply power to APEC Summit facilities. In the current year the company plans to start construction of two more power transmission lines 220 kV. All projects are planned to be completed in 2011.
