This information was provided by Head of Engineering Supervision Department of constructed Leningrad NPP-2 Directorate (a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC) Ramidin Khanzarov.
He also noted that by the end of August the constructors were going to reinforce the reactor building ceiling of the first power unit up to the mark of -0.100 meters.
The concrete was poured into the 85th layer (out of 99 scheduled) of the evaporative cooling tower structure: the total height of the tower exceeded 133 meters out of 150 planned meters. “The specialists of Metrostroy OJSC, who are constructing the cooling tower, are going to implement the works by the end of September of this year”, R. Khanzarov said.
He also noted successful work of the specialists of Kholding TITAN-2 OJSC. They are going to implement placement and consolidation of the last concrete pour (volume – about 2,000 CBM) of the foundation plate of power unit No.2 turbine building by the end of August.
Upon the whole, the works which are being held at Leningrad NPP-2 involve 64 facilities (48 at power unit No.1 and 16 at power unit No.2). They involve about 2,300 people, 50 vehicles and 89 special devices.
The construction of Leningrad NPP-2 is a part of Rosatom State Corporation long-term program.
