According to Ambassador of Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Special Assignments in the field of energy security Vaclav Bartushka, who commented on the Czech guests arrival, the visit was held within the delegation’s working trip to three companies, participating in the tender for the construction of two power units of Temelin NPP (the Czech Republic): Westinghouse (U.S.), Areva (France) and the consortium of Russian companies - “Atomstroyeksport” and “Gidropress” and Czech company – “Škoda JS”.
“We have had a productive discussion with heads of tendering companies and visited the construction sites of new U.S., French, Finnish, Chinese and Russian NPPs,” Batrushka V. noted.
The guests were shown detailed presentations about the process of engineering and construction of LNPP-2, which complied with modern requirements for safety and economic effectiveness. Head of LNPP-2 Project Management Services Grigory Viktorov and Head of the Direction Engineering Supervision Department Ramidin Khanzarov, Chief Project Engineer of Saint Petersburg Research and Design Institute OJSC Sergey Svetlov as well as representatives of Rosatom State Corporation and Atomstroyeksport OJSC answered all qualifying questions of the Czech delegation.
