MES of South has started the reconstruction of substation 220 kV Vostochnaya in Krasnodarskiy territory

The works made shall increase the reliability of electric power supply to resort towns Gelenjik, Novorossiysk, new conditions shall arise to connect new consumers to the backbone grids in South-Western regions of Krasnodarskiy territory. The investments of Federal Grid Company into the substation reconstruction shall comprise RUR 250 mln .
At the moment a foundation is assembled at substation 220 kV Vostochnaya, the 2nd automatic transformer with capacity 125 MVA shall be installed on it. The new device shall be equipped with high-voltage inputs 220 kV, radiators, voltage regulation devices, cooling automatics cabinets. New micro-processor devices of relay protection and anti-emergency automatics, SF6-switches 110 and 220 kV, new disconnectors 110 and 220 kV shall be also installed at the substation. After reconstruction the substation 220 kV Vostochnaya shall become modern, high-reliable power new power generation object. It is planned to complete reconstruction of substation in 2011.
Substation 220 kV Vostochnaya with capacity 125 MVA was commissioned in 1986. Its reliable operation is basis for power supply of large resort and entertainments objects of the region, among them there are a health resort “Golubaya Volna”, hotel “Raduga”, the largest water-park in Russia “Zolotaya bukhta” and a dolphinarium in Gelenjik.
