A meeting on implementation of Rosatom production system was held at Smolensk NPP

SNPP administration and specialists, Toyota adviser, representatives the Concern and Rosatom State Corporation headquarters working at Rosatom production system, as well as representatives of contracting organizations took part in the meeting.
The meeting program included inspection of the progress of work on pilot sites: repair of turbine equipment at the first power unit, replacement of fuel channels of the 1-st power unit reactor installation, storage facilities organization.
Having familiarized themselves with Smolensk NPP production activity system the experts noted positive results of fulfillment of Rosatom system tasks, and gave some recommendations for optimization of work in this direction.
Summarizing the meeting results, Sergey Obozov noted that development of Rosatom production system at Smolensk NPP should be one of the priority tasks. “I’m sure that clear understanding of the tasks set, involvement of all the personnel in the production system implementation will lead to achievement by Smolensk NPP significant results in development of labour productivity and the quality of works fulfilled”, General Director of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC emphasized .
Rosatom production system has been worked out taking into account the well-known experience of Japanese company Toyota Production System and based on the Kaizen system (continuous perfection). The system is aimed at productivity enhancement.
Smolensk NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. Every year SNPP contributes to the country electric power system at the average about 20 bln kilowatt-hours of electric power equal to almost 13% of power generated in Rosenergoatom Concern and to more than 80% of that generated by the power plants of Smolensk region.
