For the third time in a row the Youth Public Organization of Kalinin NPP has been the initiator of the contest. One of the main objectives, set by organizers of the event, was to improve professional development of young workers of the nuclear power plant.
At the final stage of the competition there were presented seven reports that covered a wide range of topics from "Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Nuclear Power Plants" to "Innovative Projects in Nuclear Power Industry." The scientific reports were assessed by a commission headed by Deputy Chief KNPP Engineer for Operation of the 2 nd line Igor Bogomolov and Deputy HR Director of KNPP Marina Karaseva.
Young workers of reactor workshop No. 2, radiation safety department, electrical workshop, public information centre, department of social development and security service of Kalinin NPP became the finalists of the contest. Last year all of them graduated from higher educational institutions of Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Tomsk, Ivanovo and Obninsk, and some of them continue their education as postgraduates.
At the end of the conference I. Bogomolov noted a very high level of participants’ training despite the fact that the reports were related to different issues of the nuclear power industry. Most of the works are very interesting and deserve to represent Kalinin nuclear power plant at such kind of industry events.
Senior engineer for reactor management in reactor workshop No.2 of Kola NPP Ruslan Alyev became the winner of the research and technology reports’ contest.
