According to the concluded contract, it is planned to retrofit and replace the plant equipment, and all this is aimed at an improvement of the Boiler performance including the following: reduction in hazardous emissions (optimization of the furnace combustion conditions with installation of new burners) and an increase in the Boiler efficiency and reliability. The date of completion of the works according to the contract should be the beginning of the year 2011. The project equipment will be fabricated by «Krasny Kotelshchik», the main production Company of PJSC «EMAlliance».
ZAO «Moldavskaya TPS» is one of the largest power stations in Eastern Europe. The total installed capacity of 12 Power Units of this TPS is 2 520 MW. The station supplies power to Republic of Moldova and the Dniester River Regions, and the generated power is also exported to Romania. Moldavskaya TPS has always been a regular customer of «Krasny Kotelshchik», and all 12 power units in operation at this station are furnished with the Boiler equipment made in Russia.
At present, within the framework of the partners’ cooperation, the negotiations are carried out connected with the participation of PJSC «EMAlliance» in retrofitting of Power Unit No. 8 at Moldavskaya TPS.
Making comments on the results of the contract, Mr. Andrey Levchenko, Senior Vice President of PJSC “EMAlliance”, points out that the market of the CIS countries is one the strategic preferences in the Company’s development.
“Re-establishment of the constructive business relationships with our regular customers in the CIS countries gives us an opportunity to demonstrate the whole range of the advanced capabilities which are currently available in «EMAlliance», prepare a strong basis for the Company’s further active participation in modernization of the power generation & supply system in the CIS countries at a radically new level”, he says.
