British Ambassador to Russia Ann Pringle Notes Commitment to Safety in TNK-BP

Ann Pringle, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, has visited the Saratov Oil Refinery (a subsidiary of TNK-BP), where she held a meeting with refinery and TNK-BP management.

Kirill Gorshenin, acting Minister of Industry and Energy of the Saratov Region, also took part in the meeting.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss safety and accident prevention work at the refinery, including supply issues. The ambassador noted that the Saratov Oil Refinery, like TNK-BP as a whole, displays great commitment to these issues.
Thanks to the well-planned and smooth operations of their staff and HSE departments, TNK-BP’s subsidiaries were virtually unaffected by this summer’s fires. Moreover, the company was able to provide substantial assistance in tackling the fires in a number of regions, including Saratov.
To conclude her visit, Ann Pringle toured the facilities at the Saratov Oil Refinery.
