In the result of commencing of a new facility the reliability of power supply to customers of Nwryungrinskiy and Aldanskiy districts of Sakha (Yakutia) region of Russia was enhanced including large gold mining entities and oil pipeline facilities East Siberia – Pacific Ocean (ESPO). JSC FGC UES investments into construction will total RUR 3.97 bln.
This facility was put into operation within the execution of the federal target program of the Russian Government “Economic and social development of the Far East and Baikal region for the period till 2013”.
Construction of the second power transmission line 220 kV Neryungrinskaya GRES – Nizhniy Kuronakh was started in the 1st quarter 2009. Its route passes in parallel to the existing power line. During construction 963 anchor and angle structures were erected, 828.5 m of wiring and 277 km of lightning cables were assembled/ in addition within the project the outdoor switchgear 220 kV at substation Nizhniy Kuronakh was extended where advanced SF6 circuit breakers, surge suppressors, disconnecting links and voltage transformers were installed.
The first power transmission line 220 kV Neryungrinskaya GRES – Nizhniy Kuronakh built in 1986 until now was the only link with the source of electric power – Neryungrinskaya GRES and customers in the south of Sakha (Yakutia). The new power transmission lime is designed to offload the existing overhead transmission line, strengthen power supply scheme of such large gold mining entities of the region as JSC Aldanzoloto, JSC Gold of Seligard, gold-digging artel Progress, and also provide for the first class reliability of oil-pumping station NPS-1 of ESPO pipeline system.
Construction of the second power transmission line 220 kV Neryungrinskaya GRES – Nizhniy Kuronakh represents the first stage of construction of power bridge 220 kV Neryungrinskaya GRES – Nizhniy Kuronakh – Tommot – Maya with new substations 220 kV Tommot and Maya. Realization of this project will enable connection of the isolated central power district of Yakutia with the integrated energy system of the East. Construction of the power bridge is planned to be completed in 2013.
