Works are carried out within JSC FGC UES investment program to supply power to the second stage of East Siberia – Pacific Ocean pipeline (ESPO-2). New power transmission lines will provide for power supply to ESPO-2 oil pumping station (NPS-38).
External power supply to NPS-38 anticipates construction of substation 220 kV and two power transmission lines 220 kV with total length of 160 km connecting the oil pumping station with Primorskaya GRES and subsation 220 kV Lesozavodsk. Power line routes will go through the territories of Pozharskiy, Dalerechenskiy and Lesozavodsk districts of Primorskiy Territory. Currently wood-felling works are in progress.
Construction of substation 220 kV with installed capacity of 50 MVA shall start in the 4th quarter of 2010. Commissioning of new projects planned for 2012 will enable the first class reliability of power supply to the oil pumping station. JSC FGC UES investments in construction of the substation and the two power transmission lines will amount to RUR 2.9 billion.
JSC FGC UES carries out construction and renovation of backbone grid facilities to supply power to ESPO pipeline on the territories of Sakha (Yakutia), Amur regions, Khabarovsk and Primorskiy Territories. In aggregate for these purposes by 2012 the Federal Grid Company will construct, upgrade and renovate about 40 backbone electric grid facilities. Among others, works will be conducted to expand substations 200 kV Nizhniy Kuranakh (Yakutia), Tynda and Zavitaya (Amur region), Obluchje (Jewish Autonomous region), Lesozavodsk (Primorskiy Territory) and also substation 500 kV Khekhtsyr (Khabarovsk Territory).
In 2009 JSC FGC UES fulfilled all its obligations to provide for power supply to the first stage of SPO-1 pipeline. In June the substation of specialized oil-loading port in Kozmino bay was connected to power transmission line 220 kV Shirokaya – Partizansk in Primorsk region. Also the Federal Grid Company enabled connection of NPS-17 to the existing power transmission line 220 kV Neryungrinskaya GRS – Nizhniy Kuranakh in Yakutia. In order to ensure technological connection of NPS-21 in Amur region, in October 2009 outdoor switchgear 110 kV of substation 220 kV Skovorodino was extended. Currently contracts are concluded on technological connection of eight more oil-pumping stations comprising the second stage of ESPO-2 pipeline to JSC FGC UES facilities.
