This information was communicated by Head of the Engineering Supervision Department of Directorate of Leningrad NPP-2 under construction (a branch of Rosenrgoatom Concern OJSC) Ramidin Khanzarov.
He also noted effective work of TITAN-2 Holding Company specialists started concretingthe turbine building walls from the grade level to + 3 meters in September . The turbine building wallsaresupposed to “grow” up to the level of + 5 meters during the autumn.
Among other works completed at the site of power unit No. 1 of Leningrad NPP-2 under construction there are bed and annular drainage and laying of lean concrete under the base plate of the diesel generating standby electric power station building.
Commenting on the recent storm warning declared in Leningrad region R. Khanzarov explained that specialists of the contractor organizations had carried out all the necessary works. In particular, a 67-meter boom of “Manitowoc 18000” Goliath crane had been temporarily lowered to the ground.
At present the construction works are being carried out at 72 facilities (at the first power unit 56 facilities are in operation, at the second – 16). 127 units of automotive vehicles and special devices are operating at the site. The number of people employed at LNPP-2 construction is over 2,700, of which the number of operating personnel amounts to 1,700 employees of four contracting organizations: SUS OSJC, Titan-2 Concern CJSC, Metrostroy OJSC, Gidromontazh OJSC.
The construction of Leningrad NPP-2 is a part of Rosatom State Corporation long-term program.
