TATNEFT Increases the Quality of Training Specialists in the Field of Automation

OAO Tatneft jointly with OOO TatIntek Management Company has organized a number of specialized educational and research laboratories with advanced equipment produced by the world's leading manufacturers of automated process control systems (APCS) and instrumentation and automation equipment for oil/gas producing and oil/gas refining industry on the basis of the Research and Educational Center.
Information stands of the systems "Protok (Flow)", "CD-110", "Mega", as well as elements of "Intelligent Well" have been set up here based on the corporate network of TATNEFT, which allows getting the information about the oil production facilities operation in the on-line mode. Yokogawa, HP, Roxar, Honeywell, Samson, Lufkin Automation, National Instruments and Rockwell Automation companies have actively participated in the project of establishing specialized educational and research laboratories.
Performance of laboratory and practical lessons with students in the established laboratories enables already at an early stage of professionals' training to develop their professional knowledge and skills that allows to significantly improve the quality of their training in the field of maintenance of the automation systems of the oil industry.
Workshops are arranged in the laboratories of the Research and Educational Center on the following subjects: basics of ACS; industrial controllers programming; emergency prevention of operating procedures; theory of measurement processes; instrumentation and automation and metrology.
