Polymer-asphalt Binder and Bitumen Emulsion Production Unit Launched at Omsk Refinery

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy General Director of JSC Gazprom Neft for Logistics, Processing and Sales Anatoliy Cherner.
The bitumen unit will produce polymer-asphalt binder with improved specifications in heat-resistance, frost-resistance, and wear-resistance as well as road bitumen emulsions of all kinds. The unit's annual capacity is up to 10 thousand tons of polymer-asphalt binder and up to 3 thousand tons of bitumen emulsions.
"The launch of the unit for polymer-asphalt binder and asphalt emulsions will allow the Company to get extra profit by selling a new, more technology intensive product as compared with standard road asphalts. Its use will improve the quality of roads and prolong the road surface life time", stressed Deputy General Director of JSC Gazprom Neft for Logistics, Processing and Sales Anatoliy Cherner.
