"Turboatom" signed a contract for the updating of hydro turbines Dnieper cascade HPP

According to the contract arrangements “Turboatom” make reconstruction of the existing turbine equipment at  Kiev HPP (Article No 18) and Kanev HPP (Article No 6, 8).
The company will manufacture and deliver new high-performance rotary-vane runner. Planned replacement of the impeller blade and the development of design of the impeller diameter of 6 meters with unloaded from the high pressure inside the body cavity from 4 MPa to 0.1 MPa, the installation of new guide vanes with an improved profile, new bearings pins blades with modern composite coatings.
As a result of modernization of the power unit of the Kiev hydroelectric turbines will increase from 19.2 to 21 MW, Kanev - from 19.2 to 23 MW. Also increase the service life of hydraulic turbines of up to 30-40 years to increase reliability, efficiency and environmental safety.
