According to Head of Engineering Supervision Department of the Directorate of Leningrad NPP-2 under construction (a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC) Ramidin Khanzarov, in October the base plate concreting was completed and construction of turbine building walls from -3 m to the formation level was started at the site of “turbine island” No. 2.
At the same time the specialists continued concreting the walls from the formation level to the +3m level and ceilings with the total area of 4 500 m² of the similar building of power units No. 1. Ramidin Khanzarov noted that working at these construction projects the specialists used a new certified technology of reinforcement cages assembly which accelerated of the rate of construction.
In October the required metal structures, enclosures and auxiliary stairs were also installed at evaporative cooling tower No. 1 of LNPP-2. For this purpose industrial climbers were employed.
The workers are reinforcing the walls of the outer and inner shells at the reactor building of power unit No. 1, concreting of the base plate of the second power unit rector building is also going on.
Upon the whole, in October of 2010 about 2300 people (1500 – workers), 50 vehicles and 89 special mechanisms were engaged in the scheduled works at two power units of Leningrad NPP-2.
At present at Leningrad NPP-2 site for main contractor organizations are working: Titan-2 Concern CJSC, SUS OJSC, Metrostroy OJSC and Trust Gidromontazh OJSC.
