BelNPP-2: a visit of FSUE “PA “Mayak” delegation to the construction site of power unit No. 4

Director for radiochemical and isotope production of FSUE “PA “Mayak” Sergey Kirillov noted: “Construction of the 4 th power unit of BelNPP is arousing great interest among “PA “Mayal” specialists because the valuable experience including approaches and methods of solution of many questions related, in particular, to the organization and process of construction, future specifications of the electric power installation being erected, engineering and technical solutions applied will help us in our future work”.
Administration of Beloyarsk NPP-2 under construction seeks to develop and strengthen the links between enterprises of the nuclear power industry of the country in order to transfer the valuable experience and improve economic efficiency.
Directorate of Beloyarsk NPP-2 is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC which operates all nuclear power plants of Russia. The BN-800 fast neutron reactor being erected at the construction site is an important innovative link for the nuclear industry development for the benefit of the country’s economy. The fast neutron power units serve for substantial extension of the fuel base of the nuclear power industry and minimization of radioactive waste due to the closed nuclear fuel cycle.
