After the overhaul of the machine the range of rotation of the work piece increased, as well as the opportunity of continuous heating and welding parts in the event of any failures or disruptions in the control electronics.
The main purpose of reconstruction - ensuring the reliability of the welding stand for prolonged (up to 7 days) cycle of welding and fairly rigid conditions (details are welded heated to 350 ° C). It is also important that the angular velocity of revolutions of the welded detail was maintained with an accuracy better than 0, 5% of the set. This requirement is especially important when welding root sections cuttings rotors of steam turbines, where there are stringent requirements to ensure penetration. The speed is one of the main parameters of welding regime, directly affects the depth of penetration and stability.
