"Turboatom" continues to manufacture equipment for Rostov NPP

OJSC "Turboatom" (Ukraine) manufactured and assembled four ducts out of six of the first body of the condenser to unit No 3 of Rostov NPP (Russia). Today, the fourth channel is already welded and on the stump is the fifth - on the assembly, the sixth - on machining.

Condenser consists of three blocks, including six channels each. Before the end of the year it is planned to produce fifteen ducts of eighteen without extreme tube sheets.
In January 2011, expected delivery tube sheets at the plant, they will be machining and will be installed on all channels. After that, the body of the condenser will be assembled and ready for stuffing with titanium tubes, at the end of which will be held control assembly equipment.
To carry out the Rostov order in mechanical assembly work shop (№ 72) of the enterprise are organized four working areas for stuffing tubes, cutting them, flaring and welding with tube tops. Sites are equipped with the new welding equipment and special tooling. Also "Turboatom" implemented additional recruitment and training of workers in the field - drillers, welders and fitters.
Contract for condenser supply for building power unit No 3 Rostov NPP OJSC "Turboatom" concluded in July of this year. Plant startup is scheduled for November 201. Customer of equipment for Rostov NPP – concern "Rosenergoatom" (Russia).
