A list of Akkuyu builders and operators approved

The Russian government has approved a list of companies authorized to implement the Akkuyu nuclear power plant project, including operation of the new plant.

The list is approved by governmental resolution in accordance with article 3 para. 5 of the agreement between the Russian and Turkish governments concerning cooperation in construction and operation of Akkuyu NPP.
The article speaks about setting up a project company (joint-stock) to implement the project, including the plant operation. Under the said paragraph of the article, initially 100% of shares of the project company directly or indirectly will be owned by organizations authorized by the Russian party.
