Reactor check assembly has been started at power unit No. 4 of Kalinin NPP

The internals were delivered to the fourth power unit of KlnNPP at the preparatory stage. The check assembly means their installation into the proper locations and check of all the internal dimensions for compliance with the project.
The standard length of the check assembly operation is about 40 days. The next key milestone of adjusting and startup procedures at power unit No. 4 of Kalinin NPP will be spillage to the open reactor scheduled for the end of December, 2010.
2011 will be the year of start-up operations at power unit No. 4.
Kalinin NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The plant is situated in the north of Tver region in Udomlya district. Kalinin nuclear power plant comprises three operating power units with pressurized water reactors (VVER-1000) of 1,000 mW capacity each.
