"Turboatom" has won the tender for the updating of equipment Ekibastuz TPP-1

Techno-commercial offer of "Turboatom" was recognized as the best one of what was signed by the appropriate protocol.
On the power unit No 2 Ekibastuz TPP-1 is expected updating of the turbine K-500-240-2 with capacity 500 MW. "Turboatom" offered to customers the turbine with capacity 540 MW with the installation on the existing foundation.
As a result, reconstruction of power unit will increase by 40 MW, the service life is extended by 25 - 30 years.
Within ten days of expected official confirmation of the successful bidder. Until the end of 2010 is expected conclusion of the contract and start work on it.
Equipment delivery specified by the customer - 28 months from the date of the concluding contract, OJSC "Turboatom", in turn, has offered to work for 26 months. Commissioning of the power unit is planned for the 2013 year.
Ekibastuz TPP-1 is located in the city of Ekibastuz Pavlodar region in Kazakhstan. Installed power of the plant is 4000 MW. Today, five of the eight power units are in continuous operation and can produce 2500 MW. From 1978 to 1980 dispatched OJSC "Turboatom" the turbine K-500-240-2 for the three power units of the plant.
