This technology is widely applied abroad and recently has come into practice in Russia. It allows implementing running-off operations, without laying the wires on the ground, but pulling them with the help of a leading cable by the rollers, mounted on supports. This method will minimize the damage to seeds, timber stand and roads. On the other hand, the technology allows avoiding the damage of the upper aluminum wire lay, thus resulting in decrease of power waste and increase of HV lines operating life.
In compliance with the project construction speed of the power delivery facilities of energy block No. 4 of Kalininskaya NPP, Stroytransgaz is performing the construction of 277-kilometer HV line 750 kV Kalininskaya NPP–Gribovo, traversing the territories of Udomlya, Vyshny Volochek, Spirovsk, Likhoslavlsk and Kalinin regions of Tver Oblast. The works for construction and installation of foundations and supports are being performed on the route. Due to well-arranged production and managerial activities, transmission towers were installed for 55 km of HV power line and transmission towers foundations for more than 70 km of HV power line have been already performed. The installation of more than 5 km of wires and overhead ground-wire cables is performed as of December 01, 2010.
The contracts for power equipment delivery were signed with major Russian manufacturers, the interface with specialized operating organizations and the municipal public authorities was arranged.
The finishing of HV line 750 kV Kalininskaya NPP–Gribovo construction is scheduled for 2011.
