As of the end of 9 months of 2010, revenues from electricity and capacity sales were RUB 34,132 million, a 20% growth y-o-y. Revenues from thermal power sales went up by 7% up to RUB 1,635 million. Increase in revenues was due to a greater share of electricity sold on the wholesale market.
The operating expenses increased by 30% up to RUB 34,880 million, which mainly resulted from fuel spending spree in connection with greater generation and, as a consequence, greater fuel consumption, as well as higher fuel prices.
As a result, the profit from operating activities in the reporting period was RUB 1,409 million, and the net profit reached RUB 856 million.
