The Company has allocated over RUR 450 mln in 2010 for targeted assistance to military veterans, pensioners, orphanages, disabled children and social organizations, which protect the rights of these aforementioned groups.
In all regions where TNK-BP operates, the Company has been actively involved in financing municipal, regional and republic-wide events devoted to the 65th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.
TNK-BP makes long-term investments in physical education and sports development, and is an active promoter of healthy lifestyle facilitating arrangement of sports events and providing support to sportsmen all across the country.
As one such example, the Company’s social investments as part of the 2010 Healthy Generation program amounted to RUR 420 mln, which went towards the construction of children’s sports grounds and fostering sports infrastructure and technical facilities for grassroots sports, and other projects.
TNK-BP is also an active supporter of long-term programs related to education, cultural and historical heritage preservation, as well as helping youth develop their creative potential.
TNK-BP will continue to make it a priority to organize environmental activities, including financing of children’s and teenagers’ participation in ecological projects related to environmental protection and formation of a new behavioral culture.
