Specialists “IDCG of the South”, JSC carry on construction of 110KV “Yubileynaya” substation in Astrakhan

Power engineers of “IDGC of the South”, JSC started the installation of power transformers at “Yubileynaya” substation that is being constructed in Astrakhan. Two power transformers were delivered to the energy facility recently. And now they are being installed.

The new substation is constructed in Kirovsky district of Astrakhan. Mainly Russian equipment is used at this substation. The capacity of transformers will be 40MVA. The transformers were delivered to the substation at night in order not to interfere the traffic at day-time.
Along with construction and assembly operations, 1.5 kilometers of high voltage cable system are laid. Thanks to this cable system the huge pylons of overhead lines can be removed from central part of the city.
In accordance with the project specifications the first phase of “Yubileynaya” substation will be put into operation in the first quarter of 2011.
