During a working visit to Tatneftegazpererabotka Administration (UTNGP), where the plant was commissioned, Head of the Republic was accompanied by Boris Petrov, Head of the Volga Region Administration of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision; Shafagat Takhautdinov, General Director of the Company; Nail Maganov, Deputy General Director of OAO TATNEFT - Head of Department for Crude Oil and Petroleum Products Sales, and several other senior officers.
F. Zakiyev, Head of Tatneftegazpererabotka Administration, presented the information about the history of the Administration, stages of its development, institutional reforms, TATNEFT's investments to modernize the gas refinery, as well as qualitative characteristics of the installation of deep processing of dry lean gas to the visitors.
Several options of technology had been considered for the Project implementation resulting in selection of a cryogenic technology for deep processing of dry stripped gas, which resolves issues of calorific heat value of commercial gas and provides for nitrogen removal with increasing the distillation depth of ethane fraction to 91% of the petroleum gas potential.
The technology developer is an American Company "Gulsby Engineering", which has also acted as the equipment supplier. The installation mentioned is the only installation in Russia.
OAO Spetsneftegazproekt, Kazan, has been selected to perform as a General Designer and OOO Neftegazinzhiniring (Nizhnekamsk) has become a General Contractor.
The cryogenic installation is also based on application of incorporated modern energy-saving intense cooling technologies (-183.7°C), refrigeration re-use and high degree of automation. Unique cryogenic imported customized equipment has been used during the installation construction.
The main technical and economic parameters of the cryogenic installation are as follows: installation throughput - 395 mln.m3 per year; production of ethane resulting from commissioning the cryogenic installation - 140.0 thousand tons; dry gas production - 198.0 million m3. In addition, commissioning of the installation means additional job positions. As of today, all construction and erection, as well as start-up and commissioning works have been completed.
R. Minnikhanov performed the ceremonial launch of the installation through the monitor for opening the valve for supply of dry stripped gas to the cryogenic installation.
On the eve of the New Year 2011 President of the Republic congratulated all the participants with the upcoming holiday and presented New Year gifts to the veterans of UTNGP Administration.
