Turboatom carries out starting-up and adjustment works on Egorlykskoy HPP-2

Starting-up and adjustment works are carried out in several stages: start on drained machines checking algorithms for all instruments and sensors, as well as the state of the flow part, the correctness of concreting and installing embedded parts, assembly mechanisms. The next stage is the flooding of the turbine flow, in which equipment is tested for leaks. More units have at idle and under load, with control of cardinality, vibration characteristics and the pressure under the cover of hydraulic turbines.
At this stage all four turbines were tested at idle and under load. The result was confirmed by the power and cavitations characteristics of the equipment.
All work will be completed before the end of January, after which the hydraulic units will be put into operation.
Customer of Construction Project is OJSC “RusHydro”. Contract with OJSC “Turboatom” was signed in July 2008. Under the contract for Egorlykskoy HPP-2 the company supplied four Francis turbines with nominal capacity of 3 MW with a diameter of the runner 1, 9 m. The total power generating units of Egorlykskoy HPP-2 is 14, 2 MW.
In the Cascade of Kuban HPP are nine hydroelectric power stations and a Pumping Station - all types of diversion are located in the beds of the Great Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk channels and is part of them. Pumped storage hydro-1, HPP-2, HPP-3 and HPP-4 are situated on the Great Stavropol Canal, water intake site is located near the city of Ust-Dzheguta. The total capacity of the cascade of Kuban HPP is 462.3 MW, of which 230.13 MW – power of equipment supplied by OJSC “Turboatom”. In 2005 the Cascade of Kuban HPP joined OJSC “RusHydro”.
