Rostov NPP: staff meeting on construction of power units Nos. 3 and 4 has been held

It was noted at the meeting that all works planned for 2010 were fulfilled in time. A large amount of work is to be performed in January of 2011: concreting of the flooring in the reactor compartment at the 13.20 level by 80 % and installation of the interior walls of the rigging from the 13.20 to the 16.80 level by 100 %.
In the machinery and deaerating compartments as well as electrical equipment rack, columns of the turbine department framing (range A) are to be mounted by 100 % and assembly of prefabricated reinforced concrete framing of the electrical equipment rack is to be completed. It’s planned to complete mounting of reinforced concrete columns of supporting colonnade of the evaporative cooling tower. The staff meeting participants also discussed the progress of the equipment integration work.
Starting with 2011 occupational safety management system will be included into the long-term program of the enterprise activity providing for enhanced monitoring at the construction site and control over observance of industrial safety rules.
Rostov NPP is a branch of Rosenergoatom Concern OJSC. The nuclear power plant is located on the bank of the Tsimlyansk Reservoir 13.5 km far from Volgodonsk city. The nuclear power plants operates two power units with VVER-1000-type pressurized water reactors of installed capacity equal to 1,000 MW. Power unit No.1 was put into commercial operation in 2001, power units No. 2 -  in December of 2010.
