Only in the IDGC North-West area of responsibility are 1656 ownerless facilities.
In 2011, under the consolidation of power grid assets program, in the investment program of IDGC North-West is planned acquisition amounting to 35.700 million rubles.
Among the assets to be acquired are 21.6 km of transmission lines and complete transformer substation with capacity 4.1 MVA in the Novgorod region, land for energy facilities in Karelia and Komi Republic.
For its part, Holding IDGC also supports such an initiative and proposes the consolidation of all distribution networks. "This will improve the reliability and manageability of distribution networks, reduce the cost of the equipment exploitation, optimize the investment and operational costs," - noted in Holding IDGC.
According to specialists of the Holding IDGC, ultimately, the consolidation of power grid assets will lead to lower tariffs for consumers. The leaders of Russian regions understand it too. They have already started to sign the agreement with Holding IDGC, which prescribes the question of consolidation of power grids.
