Tire Manufacturers of TATNEFT Exceeded Planned Targets

The major increases in production volumes occurred due to the production growth in the group of truck tires, in which the growth amounted to 16.2 per cent (496.4 thousand tires). 
11,135.8 thousand tires were sold to consumers in 2010, which is also by 9.4 percent above the planned figures. Sales revenues of the tire manufacturing business amounted to 23 billion rubles without VAT, which is 3.7 billion rubles higher without VAT, than the target figure.
As of today, there are several large investment projects being implemented by OAO Tatneft within the framework of the petrochemical complex.
The most promising strategic project for the petrochemical complex of the oilmen is launching production works of truck and bus radial tires with solid steel cord with production capacity of 1.2 million tires. The objectives of the enterprise are: penetration of the Russian market in the segment of solid steel cord tires, meeting the needs of the domestic market (Kamaz, NEFAZ) and entering foreign markets.
The factory was commissioned in December 2009. The design capacity of 1.2 million tires will be achieved in 2012. Production of 11 tire models has already been started. Mastering of six new models is on the way now, including two models by an off-take contract under "Continental" brand.
