Kursk NPP: 28 bln 678.4 mln kWh of electric power was generated in 2010

In 2010 Kursk nuclear power plant generated 28 bln 678.4 mln kWh of electric power which is by 4.6 % exceeds the output of 2009. This is the best result in the history of Kursk NPP operation.

Installed capacity of power units was utilized in 2010 by 81.84 % as compared to 78.24 % of 2009.
In all since its startup in 1976 Kursk NPP has generated over 690 bln 983 mln kWh of electric power (as of 01.01.2011).
At present Kursk NPP operates power units Nos. 1, 2, 3 and 4 at capacity set by the dispatch schedule.
The radiation background at the plant and in the adjacent territory corresponds to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural background environmental values.
