Eurasia Drilling Company Limited ("EDC" - LSE: EDCL) announced that it has purchased 80,000 of its Global Depositary Receipts (“GDRs”) at USD 34.90 per GDR on January 14, 2011 and 25,000 of GDRs at USD 30.00 per GDR on December 30, 2010 on the London Stock Exchange through its wholly owned subsidiary EDC Incentive Plan Limited (“EIPL)”.

One GDR represents one ordinary share in EDC. The GDRs will be held by EIPL.
The GDRs were repurchased under the Company’s Share Repurchase Program previously announced on October 08, 2010, to provide for performance awards under the Company’s Incentive Compensation Plan. Since October 08, 2010, the Company has repurchased a total of 535,797 GDRs under its Repurchase Program.
