In 2010 the chemical workshop of Electrochemical plant PO fulfilled all the set technical and production tasks

The works on scheme of section power supply were modernized – including the equipment transfer into new power substation; new power equipment providing uninterrupted power supply of the section is implemented. This data is quoted in ECP Impulse corporate publishing of January, 27.
According to Dmitry Goncharenko, section Head, in the spillover area all the “tense schedule” of goods production, all the contract commitment of the enterprise to foreign customers is fulfilled on time. “At this a kind of record on the quantity of the spillover produced within a year”, — the section Head noticed. He also reminded that since 1993 the ECP chemical section had taken part in execution of Russian-American HEU-LEU Agreement within the limits of which the recycle of weapon uranium into power one was performed. “In 2010, like in the previous years, all the works on this program are accomplished qualitatively and on time” – D. Goncharenko reported.
In October of the previous year in ECP chemical centre the specialists of French EDF performed an audit of the system of quality management. In accordance with the legislation, all the suppliers of the nuclear materials to France, ECP among them, had to obtain a certificate according to international standard ISO-9001. Within the limits of the commercial contracts between AREVA and Tekhsnabexport, the Electrochemical plant performs uranium conversion and enrichment indispensible for the work of French NPP. According to Dmitry Goncharenko, the French specialists gave a high appraisal of the quantity of the production and of the level of the staff training as well.
Speaking about prospects, the section Head noticed that in 2011 there is much work to do in order to fulfill a great commission of Rosatom Corporation.
