YANOS has started producing diesel fuel Euro-4 for Russian market

JSC "Slavneft-YANOS" ahead of schedule changed to production of winter diesel fuel for Russian consumers equal to class 4 as per RF Technical Regulations (meets European standards Euro-4). Diesel fuel class 4 is characterized by reduced sulfur content (50ppm), high cetane number and low content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.

JSC "Slavneft-YANOS" is one of the first RF refineries which started to produce diesel fuel as per European standards. Production of diesel fuel Euro-4 at the refinery was realized since May 2003, and since December 2006 - Euro-5 production. So far fuel of such quality was mainly intended for foreign consumers.
Using motor diesel fuel Euro-4 provides significant decrease of exhaust emissions to atmosphere, which undoubtedly has a positive impact on environmental conditions.
In accordance with RF Technical Regulations "On requirements to motor and aviation gasoline, diesel and marine fuel, jet fuel and fuel oil" it is allowed to produce motor gasoline and diesel fuel not lower than Euro-3 level - before December 31, 2011, Euro-4 - till the end of 2014, production date of gasoline and diesel fuel Euro-5 is not limited.
