Slavneft and the Government of KhMAO-Yugra have signed the Cooperation Agreement for 2011-2013

Yuri Sukhanov, President of OAO NGK Slavneft and Natalia Komarova, Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area-Yugra, have signed the Cooperation Agreement for 2011-2013. This basic document stipulates arrangements of the parties on joint solving of topical tasks in economic, financial and budgetary, environmental and social spheres, determines the key activities, principles and forms of bilateral cooperation.

According to the signed Agreement, OAO NGK Slavneft is liable to encourage development of the mineral recourse base, improve the investment climate and preserve social stability in the region, implement the programs aimed to strengthen industrial and scientific potential of KhMAO-Yugra, enhance the environmental safety and production energy efficiency.
The Agreement also envisages the Company’s active participation in implementation of different social projects and programs. In 2011, OAO NGK Slavneft is expected to spend 100 mln rub. for charity and sponsorship in the Autonomous Area. A considerable part of these funds is planned to be spent for development of the social infrastructure of Megion where employees of ОАО Slavneft-Megionneftegaz, the Company’s key oil production subsidiary, live and work.
On a regular basis, OAO NGK Slavneft signs long-term cooperation agreements with the administrations of the regions where it performs its activity. For the recent 5 years, within the framework of partnership with the Government of KhMAO-Yugra, the Company invested over 500 mln rub. into development of the social sphere of this Autonomous Area.
