INTER RAO UES establishes representative office in the Middle East

The gala opening of the new office was attended by INTER RAO UES Chairman of the Management Board Boris KOVALCHUK, official representatives of UAE government as well as business and investor community of the Middle East.
INTER RAO UES office in Abu Dhabi will be managed by Hussam Awad, Director of Sales, Turkey and Middle East, INTER RAO UES.  Mr. Awad will implement corporate strategy in the region and execute joint projects of INTER RAO and its Middle Eastern partners.
INTER RAO UES is currently running a number of projects in the Middle East including construction of a shale processing factory and a wind power station in Jordan, and upgrade of Al Hiswa thermal power station in Yemen.
"Middle East is one of priority regions for INTER RAO UES business development," said INTER RAO UES Chairman of the Management Board Boris KOVALCHUK. "Our strategy in this region includes business development in a number of areas including power facility construction and upgrades, engineering, fuel production and energy trading. United Arab Emirates is one of the most economically developed countries in the region, and we see a lot of opportunities to execute mutually beneficial projects in the area of electric power together with UAE businesses."
