The second stage of reconstruction is retooling stub site, including the replacement of two gas heat treatment furnaces. It is planned also the replacement of the bridge crane with an increase in capacity to 15 tons, the installation of tilt for the tilting of large castings and grit chamber for cleaning castings. Repair work is scheduled for completion by the end of 2011. It is anticipated that these objectives will be about $ 3 million.
At the moment, the foundation poured for the first furnace began assembly of track, carried out repair and construction of a workshop of actually completed pouring the floor stub site.
Earlier, in December 2010, after completing the first stage of reconstruction of foundry at “Turboatom” was commissioned upgraded molding station. Today in the foundry (No 50) is casting body rims for a CVD Rostov NPP(Russia), clips cylinders of Kurakhovskaya TPP (Ukraine), details of Kama HPP (Ukraine). It is also preparing to cast a shield ring gate for Rogun HPP (Tajikistan) and parts of turbine Zaporozhye TPP (Ukraine).
Foundry production is one of the areas of metallurgy of OJSC “Turboatom” and specializes in the manufacture of castings from carbon, alloyed, alloyed and stainless steels up to 10 tons with a subsequent increase to 15 tons after upgrading equipment.
